Best wildlife Image sees Gerry Flying High....
IPPA President Gerry O'Leary presents the Best Wildlife Image Award 2008 to Gerry O'Carroll.
The Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) is delighted to announce that Gerry O'Carroll was awarded The IPPA Royal & SunAlliance Best Wildlife Image 2008 at the National Photographic Awards held in the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin on Sunday 13th Jan 2008
This is the 12th year that Royal & Sun Alliance has sponsored the National Photographic Awards and touring IPPA Photographic Exhibition. Chairman of the Judges, Vincent O’Byrne FIPPA, commented, “This year saw the highest number of entries ever for the National Awards. The IPPA presented Awards in 30 separate categories, promoting the very best in Irish professional photography.” The Annual National Photographic Awards is the flagship event of the IPPA calendar

Family Portrait Merit for Gerry O'Carroll
Waterford Photographer, Gerry O'Carroll has received a Certificate of Merit, courtesy of the British Professional Photography Awards, held at the Hilton Hotel Newcastle recently. Gerry's Portrait of Ben & Noeleen Hennessy & Family was chosen "in recognition of outstanding achievement for originality and technical excellence" and follows previous successes by the Waterfordman, in the UK's Premier Photography Awards.
